The City Government of Digos, successfully concluded its 2-day Business Forum last June 18–19, 2025, at the Digos City Gymnasium. The forum brought together business owners, market vendors, city officials, regulatory agencies, and development partners in a collective effort to strengthen the city’s local economic landscape.
Day 1 focused on Public Market Vendors, emphasizing dialogue and transparency in resolving long-standing issues surrounding public market operations.

Day 2 shifted focus to general business owners across Digos City, tackling concerns on permits, taxation, and business operations. A key highlight was the presentation on the upcoming Metro Davao Economic Zone in Brgy. Cogon—set to boost local agri-tourism and investment opportunities.
Both sessions were graced by the leadership of Mayor Josef Fortich Cagas, together with Vice Mayor Atty. Johari Baña, the 8th City Council, department heads, and representatives from national agencies including DTI–Davao del Sur, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Digos City Chamber of Commerce. Their presence provided participants with valuable insights, guidance, and immediate responses to business-related concerns.

Throughout the two-day forum, attendees actively engaged in Q&A sessions, voicing real-time concerns and receiving direct feedback from city and agency officials. Mayor Cagas expressed his gratitude to the business community for their continued trust and support, and announced plans to institutionalize the forum as an annual platform for consultation and collaboration.
Thank you to all business owners, partners, and departments who actively contributed to this forum’s success. Together, we are making Digos a true city of choice—to live, work, invest, do business, and visit.
